Office Hours and Location

To serve you better, please request an appointment for the American Citizens Service (ACS) you need via e-mail before you come to the Embassy.  By doing this, we can ensure that you'll have all the necessary forms, documents and/or other items needed to process your request in the shortest amount of time.  To schedule an appointment please e-mail KLConsular@state.gov (put "ACS" in the subject line).

Passport services are currently available Monday through Friday, from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m., except on American and Malaysian holidays.

Consular Reports of Birth are available by appointment only. Please call 603-2168-5000 or e-mail KLConsular@state.gov (put "ACS CRBA" in the subject line) to schedule an appointment.

Notarial services are currently available Monday through Friday from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., except on American and Malaysian holidays.

Federal Benefits services are currently available Monday through Friday from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m., except on American and Malaysian holidays.

Security at the Consular Section

All official facilities are mandated to use access control procedures for all visitors and their handbags and packages. No luggage, electronic or photographic equipment is permitted in our waiting room or on other Embassy premises.
