Registering your Stay Abroad with The State Department and Embassy Kuala Lumpur

Online Travel Registration

We invite you to register yourself and your family and become acquainted with the Department of State's secure online travel registration program.

Online registration will allow you, as an U.S. citizen, to provide your overseas trip/residence information that the Department of State and the Kuala Lumpur's American Citizens Services unit can access in order to communicate with you and assist you in case of an emergency/crisis. Also, in giving us your e-mail address via online registration, you will be able receive Embassy Kuala Lumpur warden messages/informational e-mails automatically. The data you provide is secured behind Department of State firewalls, accessed only by cleared personnel in Embassies, Consulates and the Department of State, and releasable only under the provisions of the U.S. Privacy Act. If you registered a while back (i.e. prior to online registration), it would be a good idea to re-register online and update your records.

Let the Department of State know how you like the online registration process, and if you have any difficulties or any questions about our online registration system, please e-mail CAIbrs@state.gov.  Should you have specific questions about your registration with Embassy Kuala Lumpur, please contact us at KLConsular@state.gov (put "ACS" in the subject line).
