The Defense Attaché
Office, American Embassy Kuala Lumpur is comprised of representatives from the United States Army,
Air Force, and Navy, both senior officers, and senior noncommissioned officers. Most are active duty,
but the office is also complemented on occasion with Active Guard/Reserve, as well as temporary duty
personnel.
Attaché protocol duties include overseeing ship visits, aircraft clearances, VIP visits,
coordinating military exercises, as well as representing their respective military services at official
functions. Staff support and complement these duties as required.
Working together, the Army, Navy and Air Force at the American Embassy Kuala Lumpur continue
their tradition of military service to the nation, and support to the Ambassador.
